Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

– John 1:1: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
– John 1:2: “He was with God in the beginning.”
– John 1:14: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it is our ultimate authority for faith and practice.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that all who believe in him are saved from their sins and have eternal life.

– Romans 10:9-10. “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

We believe that the Holy Spirit is present in the world today, and that he empowers us to live a life of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

– Romans 8:1 – There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, and that we are called to love one another, to serve others, and to make disciples of all nations.

We believe that God is working in the world today, and that we are called to be a part of his work.
We commit ourselves to following Jesus Christ, to living according to his Word, and to being a part of his work in the world.

In addition to these core beliefs, we believe that the Nehemiah assignment is a call to action for the church. We believe that we are called to rebuild the walls of our communities, both literally and figuratively. We are called to work for justice, to care for the poor and the oppressed, and to build up our communities. We believe that we can make a difference in the world, and we are committed to doing so.

– Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
– 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
– 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

We invite you to join us in this work. Together, we can make a difference.
